Meet Cheri Beasley, the North Carolina U.S. Senate candidate who is poised to make history. Again. Beasley became the first black woman to serve as Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court. As a proven three-time, statewide vote-getter, she is one of the best candidates in the nation able to flip a Senate seat. Her race is rated a tossup against a MAGA candidate, Ted Budd.
