Three ways to get involved in shaping the upcoming elections. Become part of the Blue Wave!

EVENT TO DIVE INTO

Maine Phone Bank Training

Contact  Maine voters and work to defeat Susan Collins together! Collins is one of the most vulnerable Republican candidates seeking re-election. Democrats need to flip her seat to win a majority in the Senate. This event is directly tied to to the Action to Make Waves below.

Thursday, June 18, 6 – 8 p.m. (and every Thursday through the election)

MAKE WAVES

Dialing for Democracy in Maine

When you are trained you can canvass via phone with support on Zoom calls at various times through the week, or on your own. Maine can be the tipping point for taking back the Senate. This is a very close race, and Maine’s small population means we can have a big impact. The Maine Democratic Party relies on support from us in Massachusetts, and phone-banking is one of our most effective tools.

It’s easy – no persuasion required. You’ll be listening to voter issues, identifying support for statewide candidates, and cleaning up the voter list. Feedback from these calls will help the Maine Dems hone their anti-Collins messaging for the eventual Senatorial candidate (to be determined in the July 14 state primary), and have a more accurate list for future canvassing.

LIFT ALL BOATS

Get to know Michigan Senator Gary Peters

Gary Peters’ Senate seat is at risk. The Democratic junior senator from Michigan has a strong opponent who has reaised over $12 million to date. Democrats must hold this seat to take back the Senate. Peters is endorsed by the League of Conservation Voters, End Citizens United, and Vote Vets.

In conjunction with Peters’ campaign, save 4 p.m. on Monday, June 22 for a call featuring Michigan Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist and other Michigan leaders to hear first-hand from them how you can help turn the state blue. Sign up today to reserve a spot. Next week’s Wave of the Week will include further details of this event.
