EVENT TO DIVE INTO

On, Wisconsin!

If Trump loses Wisconsin, he loses the election, Republican strategists say. So, what do you say? Want to make sure that happens?

You can start by joining us in a Zoom meeting with Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, the first African-American lieutenant governor in Wisconsin, and Ben Wikler, current chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party and former senior adviser at MoveOn. On Friday, August 28 from 5 to 6 p.m., they will discuss the game plan, and you can learn what you can do virtually to win Wisconsin for the Democrats.

Wisconsin Democrats, who have been diligently reaching into communities across their state, need our assistance to recruit volunteers, connect with voters, and resist Republican voter suppression.

Gather friends and join us for this detailed briefing.

You can read more about the Wisconsin event here.

(Free) Action Coaching

Good athletes need good coaches to help them be even better.

Why shouldn’t that be true for people who want to play their part to get out the vote for progressive causes and candidates?

Together for 2020 offers an experienced team of Action Coaches to help get people get started along the virtual activist path – if they are concerned about overcommitting, for example, or unsure of their technical capacities. The coaches also provide expert assistance to veteran activists who may want to try something new, build their organizations, increase fundraising, and motivate their teams.

The coaches are friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help. You can access more information at the Together for 2020 Connect with an Action Coach web page. Find an action you’re interested in or explore them all to see what suits you.

LIFT ALL BOATS

Let’s Flip Montana

Here’s where a little money can go a long way. Democrat Kathleen Williams is running for an open seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in Montana’s At-Large district.

The Republican incumbent is retiring, giving Williams a strong shot. And getting more Democratic voters out for her will help Montana’s Democratic Governor Steve Bullock to win a Senate seat.

Williams was elected to three terms in the Montana state legislature. With a Bachelor of Science degree in resource economics from U.C. Berkeley, she stresses responsible, science-based stewardship. Healthcare is the main issue motivating her run.

With a 34-year career in natural resources and public service, Williams is a strong candidate to represent Montana’s outdoor heritage, and boosting her candidacy will strengthen the blue wave in the Western state.
