Wave of the Week-Archived-9-29

Each week, Together for 2020 offers you an action, an event and a candidate to explore —
Three ways to get involved in shaping the upcoming elections. Become part of the Blue Wave!

EVENT TO DIVE INTO

All In for North Carolina

Every Democrat elected to the U.S. Senate in 2020 puts a brick in the wall against GOP obstructionism. North Carolina has emerged as a key swing state where our calls to voters could help push the U.S. Senate into the blue. Please choose a phone bank for North Carolina and make that your event of the week.

Democratic candidate Cal Cunningham is gaining traction, and his unpopular opponent Thom Tillis is faltering because of several controversies. The Biden/Harris ticket has been inching upward.

Join a phone bank this week (the blue button below) and return to call on your own whenever you can to help boost Democratic gains in North Carolina.

MAKE WAVES

Train for Text-a-Thon II
Text on 10/10 for 2020 Victory

Our first Text-a-Thon in August was such a huge hit, we’re doing it again.

This time we are using the ThruText platform with the goal of inviting ONE MILLION VOTERS to back Biden/Harris in key swing states. The event on Saturday, Oct. 10, 3 to 6 p.m. EDT is going to be another rocking party, but you’ll need to train ahead of time to get on board.

The Text-a-Thon will feature special guests to cheer us on, entertainment by professional DJs to inspire us, and great people like you – and your friends – to make it another bash.

Texting is an easy, effective way to engage with voters, and ThruText protects your privacy; you use your computer, not your phone. The free training is hosted by 2020 Victory Biden/Harris.

Training sessions are filling quickly, but we plan to offer more if needed.

Get trained before the event here.

LIFT ALL BOATS

Bullock for Montana

Montana is Big Sky country. And what color is the sky on a beautiful day? Blue, of course. And that’s the color of Steve Bullock’s bid for U.S. Senate.

The two-term Montana governor managed to earn high approval ratings in the traditionally red state. Bullock supports raising the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, opposes for-profit charter schools, and has been a strong, steady voice against Citizens United.

The Cook Political Report deems the Montana a toss up between Bullock and Republican opponent, Sen. Steve Daines. That means your support of Bullock could go a long way to help swing Montana to the Democratic side of the aisle.
